Château Gaillard (3 km du Clos Allegria Amboise)
Dreamed up and built by Charles VIII on his return from the Italian Campaigns in 1496, the Royal Estate of Château Gaillard was the property of three kings of France, Charles VIII, Louis XII and François I before being offered by the latter to the greatest Gardener of Europe in 1500, Dom Pacello de Mercoliano. It is the first Italian Renaissance castle in France. The castle is nestled in its stone setting in the middle of a 15-hectare forest in the heart of Amboise. Here, the first Renaissance gardens were born, the first orange trees in France were acclimatized by Pacello and the first orangery was created there.

Statue Leonardo da Vinci et Parc de l’Ile d’Or (1,4 km du Clos Allegria Amboise)

The bronze represents an unusual Leonardo, in the figure of an ancient god.

Made in 1924 by an Italian sculptor, the colossal statue, on the Ile d’Or since 1976, facing the Château d’Amboise, comes from the Republic of San Marino. The bronze Leonardo had been offered to France by Enrico Garda, then Minister of the Republic of San Marino, to thank it for its support over time (especially when Napoleon was still only Bonaparte).

La Pagode de Chanteloup (4,6 km from Clos Allegria Amboise)
A madness from the 18th century, the Pagoda bears witness to the castle of the Duke of Choiseul, destroyed in 1823, a virtual reconstruction of which is presented on the site. It offers from the top of its 44 m, a grandiose panorama on the forest of Amboise and the Loire Valley. In the 14-hectare park, enjoy the joys of “old-fashioned games” in wood or a country picnic, discover the small Chinese garden inviting you to meditate, and the calm of a boat trip on the Large Piece of Water.
